Title: Fast Cars Content: I am in an empty parking lot, just standing there. I hear a man come up behind me. His face in is shadow. He's a bigger man and is wearing a suit. He tells me my car is ready. I am confused by this. Did I ask for a car? That's when a Ferrari 458 Italia just appears. It comes into focus through a mist. I look shocked and overjoyed as i point from me to the car and the shadow-faced man nods. I am suddenly in the car going through what looks like a car wash. Instead of water and soap, paint begins to be sprayed on the car as it rolls through and i panic. The man tells me through an intercom system that it's alright and if I think about a color I want the car the system will make the car that color. I know I am sitting in the car but I have an out-of-body experience as I see the car turn from red to yellow to black. I leave it black and when the garage door at the end of the conveyer opens I am immediately on a highway on-ramp. I put the car int gear and go flying down the highway. I have no idea where I am. Suddenly I am in a small town and I see anotehr highway on ramp about a half mile ahead of me. I turn too early and end up in a gas station. I turn around and am waiting to pull into traffic when a Chevy Trailblazer almost hits me. A police officer appears out of nowhere and asks me if I'm okay. I feel everyone around me staring at my ferrari, but i can only stare at the man in the other car. It's my ex-boyfriend's dad, but he doesn't recognize me, thankfully. I speed away without answering the police officer and pull onto the highway. Interpretation: I'm not too sure what this dream could mean. I watch a lot of car shows and the Ferrari 458 italia is one of my favorite cars. It was weird that my ex's dad showed up at the end and didn't recognize me. Maybe this is a fear of mine that I will be compeltely forgotten by them after spending so much time with them.

Title: Mary Poppins Content: I was walking with a little boy through a sea of people dressed like Mr. Banks from Mary Poppins. The boy I was walking with had a top hat that was bigger than everyone else's and everyone kept trying to take it but we wouldn't let them. I didn't know the little boy but he came up to me and told me he was afraid to walk through the sea of people alone so he grabbed my hand and we walked together. As I looked around I saw a few teammates from the hockey team celebrating the Mr. Banks movie. There were popcorn machines going everywhere and when I looked over at my friend Talia, she was eating popcorn off the ground because it was so good. Then I woke up. Interpretation: I don't really know what this dream means but similar to my other dreams, I think I dreamt about this because some of these things actually happened in my life. I attempted to watch Saving Mr. Bank with my roommates but we got wicked bored of it really fast so we watched something else. Then as we were preparing to go to hockey practice, Talia walked out of the dining hall with a bag of popcorn.
I might be reaching here but perhaps the little boy represents apart of yourself that is afraid to do something currently. Whether it be nervous for a hockey game or scared to make a certain decision. Also maybe the attempts of taking top hat represents people who are getting in your way as you deal with your fear!
During my dream I had dreamt about a couple of co-workers of mine talking about mortgages and why we can improve customers relations, and other problems that we can fix within the workplace. I was sitting at a desk in an office setting in front of my assistant manager, talking about how others don't pull their weight around the office, and we talked about how we can solve this situation, then my manager came in and was very upset about how the place has been running lately and how we need to fix these issues now. We had to come up with a plan of action in order to have the office run more efficiently and effectively. Once we had come up with this plan of action, which I didn't actually read, it sort of proofed out of thin air and it was done, which was very strange, once I tried to open the document but my dream ending without knowing what really was in the plan of action, so it become very blurry and I faded out of the dream.
3). The Latent content: I believe that this dream was telling me something that needs to be done within my workplace setting, also I think they were telling me to look at things that need to changed at work, and my dreams were helping me solve this situation of the lack of productivity that is being establishment by others. My dreams seemed so real that I thought I was actually creating this action plan which was very weird. So I came to believe that my dreams were telling me to fix this problem and come up with a real plan!
Content: I’m boarding a plane with my sister. We step on and the plane is filled with people I went to high school with. The plane is very wide and looks more like a big open room rather than a plane. There are three seats in each row that look like big brown recliner chairs. I sit next to my sister and while I know the other people on the plane, I don’t talk to them and they don’t talk to me. I have no idea where we’re headed and begin to become anxious about the take off. The plane starts accelerating and I hold onto the seat because there aren’t any seatbelts. The plane starts violently shaking and I begin to panic. Since the plane is out of control, I think we are going to crash. I express my fear to my sister and she is completely calm and doesn’t understand why I am so nervous. She tells me to relax and that we're fine. The plane flips in the air and then I wake up.
Interpretation: I think I dreamt about flying on a plane because I just found out my family is going on vacation. I’m not afraid of flying, but I think this dream forced me to recognize some of the anxieties that come along with it. Overall, the dream was very stressful and I think the stress came from both fears of flying that I wasn’t aware I had and trying to convince my sister to listen to me. As for the people in high school, I am not really sure what this means. I haven’t seen a lot of them since graduation, so maybe I feel I should try reconnecting with them.
Content: My dream started out with me sitting on the couch in the living room of my dorm room. I was just sitting there doing absolutely nothing but I could tell something was wrong. I heard my phone go off; I received a text message from my mother saying that my grandfather had died. I was devastated and woke up instantly.
Interpretation: Although this dream was short and depressing, I wanted to share it because earlier that day I had this actually happen to me except my grandfather just hurt himself by falling down on a patch of ice. I woke up extremely confused and could not understand which one was reality. My dream was exactly how I learned of him hurting himself. I had to quickly check my phone and reassure that my grandfather was alright. I think that this dream just confirms that I'm frightened of the day when my grandfather will actually pass away. It was one of the last things I looked at before going to bed and I think by doing that, I dreampt of this.
Content: In my dream, I woke up and the time displayed on my phone and alarm clock said I had missed my first two classes, one of which was a mandatory debate. I then woke up again in the dream, and the same happened again, but it was later and I had missed yet another class. At that, point I actually did wake up (on time) and saw that classes were cancelled. I fell back asleep and continued to have the same cycle of waking-up dreams.
Interpretation: I had made the decision before I went to bed that regardless of whether or not classes were cancelled, I would be skipping them if the weather was bad. In addition to that, last semester I had slept through more than my fair share of classes. This semester, I took earlier classes, and more of them. I think a combination of these things made up my dream, and represent the concern that it would be even easier for me to sleep through classes this semester than last semester.
POSSIBLE INTERPRETATION: One thing I'm curious about is the emotion you felt when you woke up from each dream! Were you panicked? Nervous? Indifferent? I feel that would help with the interpretation!! I feel this may be your subconscious' way of telling you not to make the same mistake as last semester and you dreams are allowing you to play to scenario out in your head so you can try possible solutions.
Title: Running Away... From What?? Content: I am running through a very cold, dark, and torn up city. I have no idea where I am or what I am running from, but I do know that I have to keep going. As I kept running the city become more and more gloomy and dark, I began to feel anxious and uneasy. I look around and notice I am alone and all the buildings are falling apart and abandoned. I still move forward, I soon see a fence and on the other side of it are three of my friends. They begin waving for me to come to them, but as I run to them they remain the same distance away. I am not able to get to them, then I woke up... Interpretation: I am really unsure of what this dream means, I was thinking that the part where I can see my friends but cannot get to them has to do with the fact that we all went to different schools, and I am the farthest away; so I barley ever get to see them, and I miss them. Whereas they all still see each other every day. As for the dream being set in an abandoned city I really have no idea what that could mean.
I’m with my friend Ashley and somehow we’re lost and we can’t figure out how to get back to my uncle and cousins. We are far away from home and have no ride to get there, we start walking and can’t figure out what way is the right way home. We start getting nervous because it starts getting late. My friend asks a random guy if he would mind giving us a ride home. He says he’ll give us a ride as long as we sit in the trunk part of his truck. I keep getting weird vibes from him and when we get to his truck I realize that the logo on the side of it is the same as my cousin’s company logo. I ask him if he works for him and he has a creepy and sketchy look on his face, he tells me he hasn’t seen him in a while. Then all the sudden the logo changes and it’s a little different looking than it was before, I start realizing that this guy stole the company from him. This gives me a really bad feeling about him so I pretend that I have to make a phone call before we get in the truck. We start walking away from him and we’re trying to run but no matter how hard we try we can’t. Were in a really nice neighborhood and were freaking out. We see three ladies sitting outside around the corner, we ask if we can stay with them for a little while, and the guy comes walking over. I introduce the lady to this guy as one of my aunts and she goes along with it because she can tell I’m scared of him. He says hi and immediately leaves. The ladies were really nice and took us inside; we were looking through a bunch of old pictures and then all of the sudden the back door breaks and water comes bursting in, and I wake up.
POSSIBLE INTERPRETATION: Perhaps, there is a decision you have to make or an event that is occurring, has occurred, will occur etc. that you fear and it has taken form in a maniacal stranger. You are attempting to escape from it as seen by the three ladies you found solace in for a moment. However, the water rushing in at the end might represent the fact the you cannot avoid whatever you may be afraid of and that when you face it will be cleansing like water is cleansing. Or perhaps the water represents that the truth will come to light after washing away fallacies. Just a thought :)
Title: Awful Service Content: In my dream I'm surrounded by groups of people. All are asking questions and need service. I realize I'm at work going back and forth from table to table taking peoples orders and trying to provide great service. The thing is every time I try to do something right the table is dissatisfied and walks out on the bill. Every time a table walks out another sits down before I can clean it off. Constant noises start to over power me. My head begins to spin and I'm suddenly going in circles. I wake up with a massive headache. Interpretation: I work way to much and is asked a lot all the time. Maybe I should cut down my hours so I prevent getting headaches and sleeping correctly.
Title: Air Force Living Content: This was a quick dream but, it meant a lot to me. To start off my brother is the Air Force, and I only get to see him during big holidays like Christmas or Thanksgiving. He is in Ohio currently and during my dream I went to go visit him over the summer. The dream was a little different because I got to Ohio quick and we went to the beaches on the Great Lakes. He showed me around where he worked and what he did for a living. We spent a lot of time together. One specific part I remember that we were talking and he told me how much he missed me and how proud he is of me. I told him that I was more proud of him and that I looked up to him. After this our parents and other relatives came and celebrated randomly. I don’t know why exactly we celebrated but, we did. After that my family left right away and my brother and I spent a while together. While we were together he got news that he had to move again, he had to move to another state across the country, Colorado. I was heartbroken. I cried and then unfortunately I woke up. Thankfully it was just a dream and he isn't leaving to Colorado. Interpretation: My interpretation is that I miss my brother very much. This year I have only got to see him over Christmas break for about a week. He is the closest relative to me and we always talk. I just believe that I dreamt about him because I want to see him, and after seeing him I didn't want him to leave. It has been tough for my whole family. I think I just want to see him again because he makes me really happy and I look up to him a lot.
Dream: This will be very short as it was almost all blurry and dull, but also the only dream I even kind of remember. It starts with a scenery of two people in a room. I think they are both male and both dressed in suits. I think one has a case of some kind and there is a table between them. The room is not very vivid but notably grey. Neither men have distinguishable features and I only see the back of one of them. The visual is forgettable at best but what stuck with me was the feeling. It felt so ominous and like impending doom. I felt when I woke up like I needed to shake of this bad feeling.
Interpretation: I am not sure what to make out of this, I don't really hold to the whole dreams mean something theories. But still it was a little creepy. I suppose it could be seen as a nightmare type dream which would lead me to think it was some sort of preparation for some bad thing or something along those lines. Either way I'm not too worried about it. As always I'm interested in what you all can take away from this.
Title: ugly death Dream: This was my first bad dream in while, probably the worst I've ever had. I dint remember much, but it felt so real. I was on the top of a staircase...a big staircase, and they're were serrated rocks at the bottom. There was something behind me, I didn't know what it was, it was creepy though. It kept talking to me saying really evil things. It pushed me down the staircase, the scene of me falling all the way down stairs onto the rocks kept replaying. I woke up at one point and I was scared to death. Not pretty. Interpretation: I think I had this dream because all week I have been having to get up really early for practice and it's been making me mad because I want more sleep. It's true when they say not enough sleep changes your moods. Got to get to bed earlier I guess!
POSSIBLE INTERPRETATION: Maybe as a result of the pressure of baseball pre-season you are afraid of slipping and up and sleeping through a practice or afraid of failing. Perhaps the fact that the scene of you hitting the rocks playing over and over again is your minds way of telling you that you think about failing or slipping up a lot and should relax. Just a thought!
SHANEKA GRANT My dream dinner I haven’t dream about food in a long while, but last night I dreamt that I was in Jamaica. My dream was all over the place but yet it feels so real. I was in Jamaica where it was warm and sunny, with the beautiful view of the sea waves. First, I wanted to get my eye brows done because they look so bad. So I went to the nails place to get my eyebrows and nails done. Nevertheless I was waiting for Almost ten minutes. Finally my eyebrows and nails were done, and then I wanted to get some real Jamaican food. I have not eaten any good Jamaican food in forever. So, my cousins and I went to one of the most expensive restaurant which is about two miles away from where are at the moment. After reaching the restaurant I order my oxtail and rice and peas and went to sit down. My cousins order their food and then sat beside me. As we were eating, I don’t remember what we were talking about and we got into a fight, and I jumped out my sleep. This was really strange because I never argued with my cousins since we were kids. And find that dream seemed to be interesting because maybe one day soon it will happen.
Manifest: In my dream I was at an airport. I don't really remember where I was suppose to be going but I do remember that the way you took an airplane ride was unusual. Instead of getting inside the plan a person just had to grab the wings and hold on as tight as you could. I just remember one of my brothers and I were holding on to the wing of the plane and it felt like the flight was taking forever. We ended up in Oxford, MA at my sisters house. I just remember being scared I was going to fall off the plane but also energized and excited. It felt like I could physically feel the wind.
Latent: I'm not really sure what it could mean really. Maybe it is showing me my fear of leaving home. Or maybe my desire to be closer to my family. I'm not really sure. It didn't seem to have much significance, but maybe if I had remembered more details it would have.
I appear in a field just sitting there looking across the ways. I am not moving , but I feel like I can't move, there is restrictions on me. When I go to move a shot of dark smoke shoots in the air and then sirens are piercing throughout the sky. The rumbling of the roars finally reach me and like a strike of lightening it hits me. I am suddenly shocked and stunned and everything turns black. When the picture comes into focus again I am in a room - a tight room at that. There aren't any visible doors or something for me to get out. I suddenly start to panic and start pounding on the doors. When I touched the walls the starting to come together (closing in on me). Right before the walls can make my body parts into mush I wake up.
Interpretation: Personally I have no idea what this dream could have meant. It rely had thrown me off and the dream was really creepy. Although the description may be short the dream felt so long, like it was never going to end. Once the walls came about into the dream where they started to close, I really thought I was done for. This has to do with some possible fear that I may have inside?
This dream is really foggy so I can not remember much of it. I remember seeing what looked to be a younger person but their face and skin looked much older. The look of the person frightened me. They had dry brittle hair with spots of both grey and black. The hair was long and sprung out to the sides in a frizzy manor. The face was old and the skin so wrinkled and discolored it was scary. The one detail I can recall is the person's nose. The nose was very big and had a huge bump in it; almost mocking the profile of an ideal witch figure. Then my eyes went directly to the person's wrist. On the wrist was a watch; the watch didn't belong to me but it looked to be a watch I had seen before. The watch's rubber-like band was cut and tied so that it would fit better. The band was thick before and now it is thin and dismembered. I looked at the face of the watch and what used to be a gold plated face is now worn down and looks to be a dull silver. Once I realized who's watch it was the owner, my boyfriend, appeared next to me. I tried to explain to him that this monster took his watch but the way I was talking he couldn't understand what I was trying to say. I continued to point to the watch and continued to get frustrated because he was not realizing what I was trying to say. From there the dream came to an end.
Interpretation: I'm not really sure the meaning of this dream. I can not find a clear connection between the monster-looking human and my boyfriend's watch. My boyfriend and I were watching a scary movie before going to bed, so this could definitely explain the awful looking human that was in my dream. Also, I know how much my boyfriend loves that watch even though I think its dreadful looking. Possibly this dream is showing me that even though I absolutely despise this watch I would try to get it back from even the most awful creature because I know he loves it?
Comment: So I had this dream where I was the prince of kingdom, I was younger than my current self and my dad decided to go to war. It was pretty clear that we were going to lose the war, so my mother took me to an orphanage and took one of the kids in there to be my double. That way when the army came to kill everyone in the kingdom, they would have thought that they killed the prince, even though I was still alive in the orphanage. I remember that orphanage as a cold and damp place, there was not much food but it didn’t matter because everyone was scared. I don’t remember much sound from when I was in the orphanage, but I can remember seeing buildings lit aflame to get people to run outside, the flame did not seem very bright, it was kind of like I was looking at fire in a black and white movie. Young men and women were captured to become slaves for the invading enemies. I was captured and transported with other slaves in a large wooden cage. On our way over the army was attacked by bandits because of the large amount of treasure they were transporting from our city to theirs. These soldiers were exhausted from the war they just fought in and were wiped out pretty easily. The bandits asked if any of the slaves wanted to join them. I went with them. They had horses and when I tried to get on one, I fell and woke up.
Interpretation: You can go from being a prince to a slave to a bandit in the length of one dream. Do not take anything as set in stone because your life can change very rapidly and my dream seemed to do just that.
My dream consisted of my family: grandfather, dad and brother. It was a weird one it happened today. We were all getting ready for a funeral or wake. Everyone was all dressed up and it was a quiet moment. All I can remember was that I was hungry and wanted to go. Everyone was upset, crying and reflecting on something. I don't really remember what it was or who it was that passed. I just remember we were all together and being together was a sign to possible future that hasn't been in the past?
Interlretation
During my parents divorce, I didn't speak with my dad. Towards the end of the divorce, my grandmother was stricken with an aggressive cancer. I decided to speak to my dad. It was a hard time for everyone. I remember the moments of getting ready for my grandmothers funeral. Everyone was pleased I was there and showed up. That was a turning point for me that relationships matter especially with parents . And I figured it was time to move on with past and talk to my dad, we are fine now! I think this dream has something to do with my recent problem. I recently lost someone special to me, and my dad was there to helps in anyway he can. I think after all the thinking of mistakes I've done in my problem, this dream I think symbolizes the people really there for me and family is really important.
Title: 3AM road trip I had this dream awhile ago. Dream: My family was up watching movies in the living room. We were hungry and my dad decided that we were going to get McDonald's. Its 3AM and my dad and I went to get the family food. when we get back the parking spots near my house were filled so we had to park on the other side of the field. As we are walking back to the house we hear a weird noise. i turn around and there was a pack of coyotes chasing us. We run and my dad falls. when i go to help him he tells me to just go to the house and he will meet me there. I run to the house and when i turn around my dad and the coyotes were gone. i walk inside and my dad was in his recliner watching movies with the family and eating his food.
Interpretation: I think i had this dream because before it happened my dad fell on the sidewalk because of a hole. he was hurt and had to go to the hospital. I was really close to my dad and i think i was worried about him.
I had a dream that is was a sunny vibrant day on campus and everyone was outside enjoying themselves. There was a weird vibe in the air but everything for the most part was pretty normal. The only thing is I found myself talking to student I don't normally talk to; not students I don't talk to purposefully but students I never really get the chance to speak with. So I wanted to go tell my friend on about it so I went to his room and I seen he was in there cause his door was open but for some reason I was too afraid to go inside. I felt like anxious and it was weird so instead of me being normal I knocked a bit and ran away. I ended up just watching him through the blinds of his window go to the door to find no one there and I left. Totally creepy! but whatever. I just don't know why I couldn't knock cause I walk in with no problem most of the time. but I guess every now and then there is always some unintentional hesitation.

Title: Fast Cars
ReplyDeleteContent: I am in an empty parking lot, just standing there.

3). The Latent content:
I believe that this dream was telling me something that needs to be done within my workplace setting, also I think they were telling me to look at things that need to changed at work, and my dreams were helping me solve this situation of the lack of productivity that is being establishment by others. My dreams seemed so real that I thought I was actually creating this action plan which was very weird. So I came to believe that my dreams were telling me to fix this problem and come up with a real plan!
Title: Up, Up, and Away
ReplyDeleteContent: I’m boarding a plane with my sister.
Title: Confusion
ReplyDeleteContent: My dream started out with me sitting on the couch in the living room of my dorm room.
Title: Late on a Snow Day
ReplyDeleteContent: In my dream, I woke up and the time displayed on my phone and alarm clock said I had missed my first two classes, one of which was a mandatory debate.
DeleteTitle: Running Away... From What??
ReplyDeleteContent: I am running through a very cold, dark, and torn up city.
ReplyDeletePOSSIBLE INTERPRETATION: Perhaps, there is a decision you have to make or an event that is occurring, has occurred, will occur etc. that you fear and it has taken form in a maniacal stranger.
DeleteTitle: Awful Service
ReplyDeleteContent: In my dream I'm surrounded by groups of people.
Title: Air Force Living
ReplyDeleteContent: This was a quick dream but, it meant a lot to me.
Title: Ominous Feelings
ReplyDeleteDream: This will be very short as it was almost all blurry and dull, but also the only dream I even kind of remember.
Title: ugly death
ReplyDeleteDream: This was my first bad dream in while, probably the worst I've ever had.
DeleteSHANEKA GRANT
ReplyDeleteMy dream dinner
I haven’t dream about food in a long while, but last night I dreamt that I was in Jamaica.
ReplyDeleteLatent: I'm not really sure what it could mean really. Maybe it is showing me my fear of leaving home. Or maybe my desire to be closer to my family. I'm not really sure. It didn't seem to have much significance, but maybe if I had remembered more details it would have.
Title: Why am I stuck
ReplyDeleteI appear in a field just sitting there looking across the ways.
Title: Time to Watch
ReplyDeleteThis dream is really foggy so I can not remember much of it.
ReplyDeleteInterpretation: You can go from being a prince to a slave to a bandit in the length of one dream. Do not take anything as set in stone because your life can change very rapidly and my dream seemed to do just that.
Title: random memories
ReplyDeleteMy dream consisted of my family: grandfather, dad and brother.
Title: 3AM road trip
ReplyDeleteI had this dream awhile ago.
Sunny hesitations:
ReplyDeleteI had a dream that is was a sunny vibrant day on campus and everyone was outside enjoying themselves.
