Title: 47 Ramen Manifest content: I was at the final examination for this class. Unfortunately, there was no room on campus so we had to take the exam in an old boiler room. There were only six desks and the room was covered in pale green peeling paint like the kind that you see in hospitals. The windows were brown with dirt and only a pale circle where someone had tried to clean it. The heat was off so everyone was given a hot bowl of Ramen soup. The bowels were so hot that the rising steam began to fill the small room. Soon the room was a steam bath crowded with students who could not see their desks. I opened the window to silence and the steam rushed past me and the room was empty. Latent content: All professors have anxiety about meeting the deadlines for their classes. Mine anxiety dreams are always about exams not being ready, or copied or similar problems. My anxiety dream symbol is always a creepy old building (1940's vintage) that needed repair. This part is dream symbols of an emotion. Interestingly, I've only recently identified this dream symbol of anxiety via these dream journals. The Ramen soup is a play on words and represents the cognitive theory of dreaming. My wife and I saw 47 Ronen (a recent Samurai movie). After the movie we talked about how much cheap Ramen soup we consumed during college. What does the steam symbolize? What do you think?

Maybe the steam is a symbol to cloud your judgment and to make you unaware of your surroundings or making you forget something about that room you were in.
Title: Rain Manifest: I look outside my bedroom windows when I see the heavy rain pouring down from the dark sky. As I turn my head, I'm now outside getting soaked in the rain, I'm freezing because it is so cold. I can see my house from the street but my legs won't move, I'm paralyzed. I start to panic and start screaming but nothing comes out. I start to choke because the water had risen to consume my body, I start to drown and I wake up. Latent: I believe my dream was telling me that I'm afraid of something and is building up within me and it is drowning me because it's telling me that I can't handle something, or its the rainy weather from the weekend but I'm unaware of what it could be.
A very interesting component of your dream is the sleep paralysis part! Did this dream take place during the late morning hours or was it interrupted by an outside noise. If I didn't know better, you might have had a slight apnea episode that triggered the "drowning and panic sensations"?
I have had dreams where I am paralyzed and can't speak as well. You might feel like something is out of your control right now. Not being about to move or yell for help makes you feel powerless so I think you're right, there might be something going on that you don't think you can handle.
I've had dreams that are very similar to this as well. I think this dream definitely represents some type of fear or anxiety. Maybe the paralysis represents that you feel trapped and are unable to get out of a certain situation.
Title: Falling Apart Content: Last night I had a dream that everything I touched blew up in to small pieces. I then had another dream I was climbing a mountain but the dirt kept falling downward; I was basically fighting an uphill battle. Every time I thought I could get to the top the dirt would fall out from beneath my feet. I tried grabbing anything around me to pull myself up, trees or roots or rocks but I kept falling to the bottom of the hill. I was absolutely exhausted to the point where I just let myself fall, then I woke up. Interpretation: I believe this dream is just an interpretation of what's going on in my life right now. I'm fighting with someone but I'm the only one fighting and I'm not making any progress. I feel like I'm fighting an uphill battle and there is nothing I can do about it. Last night, I gave up and stopped fighting.
Do you think that the symbols of dirt, mountains and struggling to climb reflect your current emotional state. Do the obstacles in your path seem beyond your control? I think that your analysis is accurate. Have you had these same symbols in other dreams related to this emotion?
I agree liz, I think that whatever you are going through in your life you feel as though you aren't making any progress. maybe you think that everything that you do just moves you backward. I think that once you get through the issues that you are dealing with you will be able to get to the top of the mountain in your next dream! :) goodluck!
I agree with you and Tayah! It definitely seems that your unconscious is playing out a dilemma or battle you are currently fighting. Perhaps, your unconscious is telling you to not fight for the time being and regroup. Maybe gain new perspective on the situation or a new approach so you can overcome it and scale to the top. Perhaps you are insecure about your decisions and that is why everything is your dream is falling to pieces. Just a thought :)
Manifest content: I was sitting in a chair next to a friend of mine in an unknown place I couldn't quite figure it out but I didn't feel unusual in the dream. There was an elderly couple that was sitting beside us on my side. the elderly man was sitting next to me and we were having small talk, as we were talking the man's elbow hit me accidently and the elderly lady (his wife) became really angry. she began to yell at me and tell me that I shouldn't touch her husband. I swore that I didn't touch him and that it was an accident and she didn't believe me. she made us end our small talk and she began snuggling him. when my friend who was sitting beside me seen the altercation he kissed really hard and for a really long time. intending to show the couple that I wasn't interested in the elderly male. after that I woke up. Latent content: I think that this dream was wish fulfillment because that kiss was great! for what I don't know, I just think the couple was a diversion to get to what I really wanted. it was odd though, and I am still sort of baffled by the whole thing but I often have weird dreams.
Maybe the elderly woman represents yourself. Maybe your unconscious is attempting to fulfill your wish of finding someone you feel is worth fighting for and getting angry over. Or maybe she represents someone is moving in on a relationship with a friend you have in your life. Your unconscious may be telling you to take a step back from that friend with a jealous significant other! Just a thought :)
Title: Dream inside a dream Manifest Content: Before we get into the dream you need to know that on Friday I had work at 11. I wake up and roll over to look at my clock and it says 11:11 am. I get out of bed and start punching things, from my wall to the dresser. I start yelling at my mom because for some reason I thought it was her fault that I did not wake up on time. Since I am going to be late I start playing video games. I check my phone again and the time says 11:41 with a message from my boss. The message said something along the lines of “You know your working today”. After reading the message I go back to bed. I wake up with my phone in my hand and I have a message from my boss saying “if you come in soon I wont be mad” or something along those line. When I woke up for real, I checked my phone and I had a message from my boss if I could come in for 10. Latent Content: I really don’t know where this dream came from, I think I was stressing about waking up for work because I went to bed so late. And now that I am writing about it the time 11:41 is somewhat significant because my cousin passed away on January 14, of 2010 so im not sure if that’s just a coincidence or if it mean something.
I think that it is very possibly that you had this dream because of the deadline put on your sleep that night. Sometimes when our mind knows we can't sleep until whenever we are content it places worry that we won't wake up on time. Sometimes you even get caught counting the hours you'll be able to sleep right before going to bed way to late. I do this all the time and it makes me have anxious dreams about being late.
The Dream: It started out in my older sisters car it was a really cloudy day and it was quite windy but we were going trough the town i used to live in before I moved maybe 3 months ago. It was a very different kind of feel I knew something couldn't be right. As I looked into the horizon i notice a funnel cloud and i was quite calm or maybe shocked. We thought it was far away until we saw a tree get ripped right out of the ground and a building get torn up. The tornado was right in front of us. We all started to freak out and went in reverse. We got out of the dodge of that one and kind of just took a deep breathe when we looked to our left and right and there was two more. We started to take off and that when I woke up.
Interpretation: my interpretation of this dream is actually pretty clear I feel like the tornado symbolizes choices and I'm running away from them but they keep popping up lately. I have been really indecisive as of late about a bunch of things and maybe this was a way of my brain telling me that

I agree with you and Ross! At the end you say that you take a deep breathe as the other two approach, perhaps this is your unconscious' way of telling you to take a deep breathe in your own life. Life, like a tornado, cannot be avoiding forever and maybe your unconscious trying to telling you that the right path will become evident soon and it will all work out for the best! Just a thought :)
Title: So I dream of Snow Now?! Content: I am at my last day of student at Oxford Middle School. I just had a great last class and am getting ready to leave. I am about to start walking across the parking lot to my car. My legs go numb and I fall to the ground. For soem reason, this doesn't unnerve me at all and I just start crawling to my car. There are three snow piles in my path. Instead of going around them, I pull myself over them. I am cold and my teeth are chattering. There are a bunch of kids standing outside the cafeteria yelling "goodbye" to me. I wave at them. I finally crawl to my car and realize I dropped my phone in one of the snow banks. I start crawling back... Interpreation: I had this dream on Sunday night and my last day of Observation was Monday, the next day. While I was there, it did snow. I don't know if it's coincidence or if I should get a one-way ticket to Vegas.
Manifest Content: I’m walking into a restaurant with my family. My mom, dad, sister, uncle, and cousins are there. There are huge windows on all of the walls so you can see right outside. We sit down at a table and I suddenly remember that I have to register for my classes next semester. I started to panic and went out to the car to get my computer. I brought my computer inside and went to register, but didn’t have any Internet connection. I tried over and over again, but never got connection. I felt really stressed out and left the restaurant to find connection. Then I woke up.
Latent: This dream was very interesting to me. I had this dream the night before registration, and it clearly showed that I was stressed out about how registering for next semester would go. I had woken up and realized I still had time to sleep before registration and that’s when I had this dream. I think it could have been my unconscious reminding me to not forget to wake up. As for the restaurant scene, the next day I was supposed to be going out to eat with my entire family. I thought this dream was particularly interesting because it combined two events that I was anticipating the next day.
I also agree that it is really interesting, it seems like you unconscious may have been remind you not to forget, but it also could have Incorporated two events to show you that once you are done picking classes and done stressing out, you have something to look forward to, having dinner with your family.
Title: Who is there? Manifest: I am waiting at my house with my dad for my best friend Kelly to come pick me up for the Pink concert. I kept calling her and she said that she is getting dressed and will be there soon. So I walked around my house waiting for Kelly as my dad started say calm down she will be here soon. I decided to walk around the neighborhood for a while to wait for Kelly but my dad wanted me to just stay home with him until she gets there. After a while of walking around in a panic being she was extra late I went back home and cried to my dad that she had made me miss the pink concert. He told me to try her concert the next day. I asked my boyfriend Brian to take me this time since Kelly bailed on me. He told me that he would pick me up after work and we would go. I waited around once again for Brian to come get me for the Pink concert. I walked around my house in a frantic because he was starting to be late. I kept calling him and calling him and he wouldn’t answer. My dad tried to help me calm down but I was not having it. I was tired of no one being there for me when I needed them. Latent: I have been thinking a lot lately about my dad, Kelly, and Brian. I have been feeling lately that Kelly and Brian don’t want to talk to me. But after that dream I realized that even though they might not be there my dad is always there for me. I just do not realize that he is always there no matter what.
Title: Professor Who? Manifest: I woke up and I was pretty nervous for my speech I had to make for an 8am class. For some reason I couldn't handle my nerves the way I usually could and I was struggling to get ready for class. I finally managed to get ready and when I made it up to the class, it was a professor that wasn't actually supposed to be there and it was a professor on this campus that is known for being absolutely brutal to you while presenting (my normal professor is easy to present in front of). Latent: This was a short dream but I get stupid little dreams like this that revolve around presentations or an exam all the time. I just stress out about them a lot before and it causes me to dream about them.
Title: The Prom I Never Had Content: This dream started out where I was back as a senior in high school. It was the time of prom, I was super excited to go. My friends and I were all prepared with our dresses and dates and the limo. We had planned a huge get together after at my beach house. It was going to be the best night ever. Then there was one dilemma, my friends came up to me and told me that it was going to be a prom with strobe lights. I was epileptic. I talked to the prom committee to try and change it but, they didn’t want to. It was already set with the people to set up the lights. I was devastated. I couldn’t go. I talked to the principal. I complained to my parents. It was awful. It came to be prom night and my friends were getting prepared while I was at home. I went to promenade to watch them with their dates and drive away in the limo. I was crying. I went back to my house and sulked for the rest of the night. Interpretation: I think I had this dream because my friends and I were just talking about prom. Also I went back to my high school, and all the seniors were getting prepared for prom. I think I had this dream because the exact same thing happened to me. I couldn’t go to my prom because of the strobe lights. I talked to the teachers but nothing changed. I was annoyed. I think it was just a flashback of what happened even though my dream distorted it.
Manifest: In my dream I was at my own house and it looked just like my own house, which is unusual for me because usually "my home" looks nothing like my actual home. I was laying on my living room couch, much like any normal day when I have actual time to relax. Then I just remember hearing this awful loud crash and my entire house was shaking. I looked out my window and say two of those gigantic elephant- like creatures from the "Lord of The Rings". There wasn't anyone with them or anything but they were knocking down trees as they were walking. They started throwing the tree trunks with their trunks at my house. One of the tree trunks broke through the wall of my house and I got scared and that woke me up.
Latent: I don't really see much hidden meaning here. But it's very strange because I haven't seen or had anyone mention that movie to me in a while. But I remember from another dream I had a few days before someone in my dream was talking about how those creatures from that book were coming to life. Then I see one of the elephant things in one of my dreams and it literally seemed like it was real life the dream was so accurate. It just seemed weird to me that the dreams seem to have connected somehow.
Manifest:I'm wandering around a house. I don't quite know where I am but I see old friends and exes wandering it too. My dad is near by. I start talking trying to catch up with everybody when all of the sudden it's like world war three breaks out. One of my exes has a gun. I don't know why, and I don't know where he got it from. I'm his target. He shoots towards me. He hits mostly my legs here and there. Skimming the sides. He gets my inner thigh pretty good. I look down and see how bruised it is and how much blood I have pouring down my pants. My dad comes and grabs me. He hides me in a room and stays lookout. I take one last look at my thigh and the rest of my wounds and wake up.
Latent: I'm not quite sure what the meaning is of this. Lately my legs have been super restless and maybe that's why my legs were mostly targeted. I think the part of everyone being from the past is because I am trying to make some re-connections with old friends but I'm worried about it backfiring. It could be warning me against the pain I used to have and how it could be reopened again.
I agree with you, I think that people from your past are showing up from in your dreams because you are trying to reconnect with old friends. Your mind must be thinking back to all of the old connections you once had and that is why there is your exes wandering around too. The ex shooting at you might show your fear that something might go wrong.
Title: What Time Is It? Manifest Content: I am laying in my bed, I keep thinking that I need to get up soon, but I say to me self its fine my alarm hasn’t gone off yet. I close my eyes and fall back to sleep. I hear a noise, I roll over and wake up to find that I missed my exam by two hours. I slept right through it, I feel very anxious and am not sure what to do. I get up and pace back and forth in my room. I hear the click of our door and turn around to see my roommate walk into the room she looks at me like I am crazy and ask why I am up. I tell her I missed everything, she checks the clock and tells me that it is only 6AM, I don’t understand. She tells me to go back to sleep. I close my eyes and wake up… Latent Content: When I woke up I still felt anxious like I was going to miss my classes, but when I looked at the clock it was only 7 AM and I still had plenty of time to get ready. I think I had this dream because I am always nervous that technology is going to fail me and one day my alarm is not going to go off or that I won’t hear it and I won’t get up in time.
Title: The coyote Manifest: I am with all of my friends from home and we are outside enjoying the nice weather. It is starting to get dark out and all the sudden we hear something in the bushes rustling around about twenty feet from us, all the sudden it is dark and a coyote appears and starts running at us. We all run away screaming but one of my friends stays back to try and get her bag before she runs, we run into the parking lot where we have the car parked. My friend can’t get her car unlocked so we keep running and it’s still behind us. It is right behind the friend that went back for her stuff and I am feeling really scared. I think the coyote is going to get her, then all the sudden were back in the parking lot where the car is and the coyote isn’t chasing after us anymore, were all breathing heavy trying to catch our breath, and I wake up. Latent: I think I had this dream because the nice weather is starting to come out, and the place that my friends and I hang out at, at home is at a gazebo kind of tucked away from the road. No one bothers us there, it is right by a river so we have seen some creatures there late at night, but they usually keep their distance. There has been a couple of times where a coyote walks right by us so maybe that is why the coyote is in the dream.
Content: I’m in my house walking around. I just keep walking from the front of the house to back of the house. As I walk outside the back door to the backyard I find myself looking at my house and just staring. Suddenly I am lifted off the ground like someone pushed me. Instead of falling I am floating in the neighbor yard. Then pushed back again to their neighbors yard. This goes on until I am high about the entire neighborhood and can see everyone’s houses. There are no sounds, no movement just time and space. I start to fall quickly and I wake up.
Interpretation: Yes, finally I had a flying dream! I’ve been waiting for this for years and now I can say that I’ve had one. I think the only reason why this dream happened is because I miss home and maybe feel so far away from it. Or because I was thinking about flying dreams the night before and it happened.
Dream: last night I couldn't fall asleep. I tryed and tried but couldn't. I haven't been like that in like a month. Yesterday I was thinking. Lot about a past situation. Really sucked and bothered me. But whenever I think of it, it consumes my day. And I think about it until I go to bed, then I can't haha. Well it's about a friend or aquatinttrance , I don't know what to call him. We used to be good friends . He likes to have what I have and if I have something that he doesn't he goes and gets it! That irritated me a little bit. Last night my dream was him and some girl I used to know well ,sitting in the back of a truck and driving along. And they were talking like they are together. But they aren't. Interpretation : He always is with her while his girl is at school! I swear something is going on! I'm always thinking about this because it bothers me that he can do that and no one sees a problem. I think it's wrong but it none of me to say anything. He's quite the liar also so ...it's just messed up and that's why I had trouble sleeping cuz I m trying to see why, but I should be spending my time away from that haha I wouldn't do that and I can't see why someone would do that but nothing is a surprise today,...
Manifest: The dream was short and dark. I was with two people but even though I felt like they were right next to me I could only hear their voices. At the beginning we were laughing about the Miley Cyrus concert we had just seen. We were talking about her crying. We were walking the streets of Boston directly outside the garden when we all started to panic. It was pitch black and no one was around. It was weird the concert just got out but no traffic, not a car in sight. We were looking for our ride but we couldn't find a single person. There were voices coming out of even darker spots that were frightening us even more. When one voice started to get closer and closer, scaring us even more I woke up.
Latent: Last night I went to the Miley Cyrus concert in Boston and was responsible for both my sister and her friend. I hate walking around Boston in huge crowds, even more than I hate being responsible for other people's children! I think I had this dream out of fear that this could have happened to me. There was a second last night where I got confused as to where I was going. This tiny bit of anxiety was enough to make me dream that we got lost!
Manifest- I was alone in my house and i hear a noise that someone was trying to break in. I think to myself who could it be. I dont say anything but i listen at them talking and realize it is a couple that live down the street. I look out the window and I see them trying to pick the lock. the girl looks over torwards the window and tells the guy that they should try the window i move to theother side of the room and call 911. when they answer the girl on the other end says they will send someone. 15 minutes later theres still no officers at my house which is strange because i live five house down from the police station. I call them back and the same girl answers and i ask why she didnt send anyone. she told me to stop over reacting and not to call back. i then realize that she didnt work at the police station but is helping the couple. I hear a bang on the door and i wake up.
Latent- I think i had this dream because im going to be commuting to school next semester, and i havent been at my house for a long time. another reason i think i had this dream is because people did break into my house in the past. The ending of my dream when theres a bang on the door and i wake up, i astually heard a bang outside my room and it woke me up and my heart was beating fast.
Manifest : I was sitting out back with some friends around a fire. We were all hanging out having a good time talking about stories from our schools. While I was sitting at the fire it all felt to real. I could feel the heat lightly toasting my cheeks. The crackling and popping of the firewood sounded HD. I could hear birds soaring around making noises. I heard rustling in the trees and squirrels cracking nuts. It was as if suddenly the conversations diminished in the background and all I could hear was the nature around me. What really bugged me out is how to real it sounded, I didn't even feel like I was in a dream! This was the first time I ever heard sounds so vivid and real-like. This dream was odd and short but it was extremely fascinating to me. I love dreams that are very nature fulfilled.
Latent: Honestly having trouble as to the meaning or symbolism in this dream. Only thing that actually comes to mind is the sounds that wake me up. It is a jungle type noise - it is to wake me up peacefully.
Sounds like your alarm may have been going off while you were asleep, but it also sounds like it is a form of wish fulfillment in terms of hoping for the summer to come soon and being able to spend a night with friends around the fire.
Content: In this short dream I remember waking up as if it were real. It felt good because I did not have anything to do that day so I was able to spend it outside walking with my dog through our woods and the town I live in. I had no contact with anyone else, there were no problems, there was no work. I was able to just enjoy the day with my dog. It was sunny, and it felt warm but not to the point of oppressive. At the end of the dream I went to bed and then I woke up for real feeling fairly good.
Latent: This was a weird dream as it was the first one that I've remembered that wasn't a bad one. It was like a good day, which I haven't really had the time to have in a while. I could see this as being a form of wish fulfillment and definitely relating to the weather we have been having the last few days.
Title: Werewolf Dream: last night during my dream, I was in a bad situation, I was in city background in a back alley and I was being surrounded with my girlfriend, I don't have a girlfriend in real life so it was pretty strange. We were surrounded by ugly monster zombie like creatures, it was pretty scary, I got really angry and began growing long claws and teeth, and became very hairy. My girlfriend ran away and I killed the zombies. I remember waking up sweating and my Roomate told me I was mumbling something during my sleep.\ Interpretation: I believe I had this dream because yesterday I was extremely tired and cranky. The night before I only got 5 hours of sleep so I was in need of more sleep. I also played two games yesterday, and we lost the second game in a stupid way so I was even more angry.
Content: In my dreams, I was walking around work and there were voices that kept insulting customers as they walked by and were talking with themselves. The kitchen personnel were looking for it, as well as myself. I found a bag of talking fried chicken at the of an aisle, and grabbed it to throw it out. The pieces of chicken jumped out of the bag in an attempt to save themselves, and promptly dies upon hitting the floor, so I threw them away.
Interpretation: I'm not entirely sure. Weird things happen at work all the time, but nothing this weird.

DeleteI agree liz, I think that whatever you are going through in your life you feel as though you aren't making any progress. maybe you think that everything that you do just moves you backward. I think that once you get through the issues that you are dealing with you will be able to get to the top of the mountain in your next dream! :) goodluck!
DeleteI agree with you and Tayah! It definitely seems that your unconscious is playing out a dilemma or battle you are currently fighting. Perhaps, your unconscious is telling you to not fight for the time being and regroup. Maybe gain new perspective on the situation or a new approach so you can overcome it and scale to the top. Perhaps you are insecure about your decisions and that is why everything is your dream is falling to pieces. Just a thought :)

ReplyDeleteManifest content: I was sitting in a chair next to a friend of mine in an unknown place I couldn't quite figure it out but I didn't feel unusual in the dream. There was an elderly couple that was sitting beside us on my side. the elderly man was sitting next to me and we were having small talk, as we were talking the man's elbow hit me accidently and the elderly lady (his wife) became really angry. she began to yell at me and tell me that I shouldn't touch her husband. I swore that I didn't touch him and that it was an accident and she didn't believe me. she made us end our small talk and she began snuggling him. when my friend who was sitting beside me seen the altercation he kissed really hard and for a really long time. intending to show the couple that I wasn't interested in the elderly male. after that I woke up.
Latent content: I think that this dream was wish fulfillment because that kiss was great! for what I don't know, I just think the couple was a diversion to get to what I really wanted. it was odd though, and I am still sort of baffled by the whole thing but I often have weird dreams.
Maybe the elderly woman represents yourself. Maybe your unconscious is attempting to fulfill your wish of finding someone you feel is worth fighting for and getting angry over. Or maybe she represents someone is moving in on a relationship with a friend you have in your life. Your unconscious may be telling you to take a step back from that friend with a jealous significant other! Just a thought :)

ReplyDeleteManifest Content: Before we get into the dream you need to know that on Friday I had work at 11. I wake up and roll over to look at my clock and it says 11:11 am. I get out of bed and start punching things, from my wall to the dresser. I start yelling at my mom because for some reason I thought it was her fault that I did not wake up on time. Since I am going to be late I start playing video games. I check my phone again and the time says 11:41 with a message from my boss. The message said something along the lines of “You know your working today”. After reading the message I go back to bed. I wake up with my phone in my hand and I have a message from my boss saying “if you come in soon I wont be mad” or something along those line.
When I woke up for real, I checked my phone and I had a message from my boss if I could come in for 10.
Latent Content: I really don’t know where this dream came from, I think I was stressing about waking up for work because I went to bed so late. And now that I am writing about it the time 11:41 is somewhat significant because my cousin passed away on January 14, of 2010 so im not sure if that’s just a coincidence or if it mean something.
I think that it is very possibly that you had this dream because of the deadline put on your sleep that night. Sometimes when our mind knows we can't sleep until whenever we are content it places worry that we won't wake up on time. Sometimes you even get caught counting the hours you'll be able to sleep right before going to bed way to late. I do this all the time and it makes me have anxious dreams about being late.

ReplyDeleteThe Dream: It started out in my older sisters car it was a really cloudy day and it was quite windy but we were going trough the town i used to live in before I moved maybe 3 months ago. It was a very different kind of feel I knew something couldn't be right. As I looked into the horizon i notice a funnel cloud and i was quite calm or maybe shocked. We thought it was far away until we saw a tree get ripped right out of the ground and a building get torn up. The tornado was right in front of us. We all started to freak out and went in reverse. We got out of the dodge of that one and kind of just took a deep breathe when we looked to our left and right and there was two more. We started to take off and that when I woke up.
Interpretation: my interpretation of this dream is actually pretty clear I feel like the tornado symbolizes choices and I'm running away from them but they keep popping up lately. I have been really indecisive as of late about a bunch of things and maybe this was a way of my brain telling me that

At the end you say that you take a deep breathe as the other two approach, perhaps this is your unconscious' way of telling you to take a deep breathe in your own life. Life, like a tornado, cannot be avoiding forever and maybe your unconscious trying to telling you that the right path will become evident soon and it will all work out for the best! Just a thought :)

ReplyDeleteContent: I am at my last day of student at Oxford Middle School. I just had a great last class and am getting ready to leave. I am about to start walking across the parking lot to my car. My legs go numb and I fall to the ground. For soem reason, this doesn't unnerve me at all and I just start crawling to my car. There are three snow piles in my path. Instead of going around them, I pull myself over them. I am cold and my teeth are chattering. There are a bunch of kids standing outside the cafeteria yelling "goodbye" to me. I wave at them. I finally crawl to my car and realize I dropped my phone in one of the snow banks. I start crawling back...
Interpreation: I had this dream on Sunday night and my last day of Observation was Monday, the next day. While I was there, it did snow. I don't know if it's coincidence or if I should get a one-way ticket to Vegas.
Title: Registration Trouble
ReplyDeleteManifest Content: I’m walking into a restaurant with my family. My mom, dad, sister, uncle, and cousins are there. There are huge windows on all of the walls so you can see right outside. We sit down at a table and I suddenly remember that I have to register for my classes next semester. I started to panic and went out to the car to get my computer. I brought my computer inside and went to register, but didn’t have any Internet connection. I tried over and over again, but never got connection. I felt really stressed out and left the restaurant to find connection. Then I woke up.
Latent: This dream was very interesting to me. I had this dream the night before registration, and it clearly showed that I was stressed out about how registering for next semester would go. I had woken up and realized I still had time to sleep before registration and that’s when I had this dream. I think it could have been my unconscious reminding me to not forget to wake up. As for the restaurant scene, the next day I was supposed to be going out to eat with my entire family. I thought this dream was particularly interesting because it combined two events that I was anticipating the next day.
I also agree that it is really interesting, it seems like you unconscious may have been remind you not to forget, but it also could have Incorporated two events to show you that once you are done picking classes and done stressing out, you have something to look forward to, having dinner with your family.

ReplyDeleteManifest: I am waiting at my house with my dad for my best friend Kelly to come pick me up for the Pink concert. I kept calling her and she said that she is getting dressed and will be there soon. So I walked around my house waiting for Kelly as my dad started say calm down she will be here soon. I decided to walk around the neighborhood for a while to wait for Kelly but my dad wanted me to just stay home with him until she gets there. After a while of walking around in a panic being she was extra late I went back home and cried to my dad that she had made me miss the pink concert. He told me to try her concert the next day. I asked my boyfriend Brian to take me this time since Kelly bailed on me. He told me that he would pick me up after work and we would go. I waited around once again for Brian to come get me for the Pink concert. I walked around my house in a frantic because he was starting to be late. I kept calling him and calling him and he wouldn’t answer. My dad tried to help me calm down but I was not having it. I was tired of no one being there for me when I needed them.
Latent: I have been thinking a lot lately about my dad, Kelly, and Brian. I have been feeling lately that Kelly and Brian don’t want to talk to me. But after that dream I realized that even though they might not be there my dad is always there for me. I just do not realize that he is always there no matter what.
Title: Professor Who?
ReplyDeleteManifest: I woke up and I was pretty nervous for my speech I had to make for an 8am class. For some reason I couldn't handle my nerves the way I usually could and I was struggling to get ready for class. I finally managed to get ready and when I made it up to the class, it was a professor that wasn't actually supposed to be there and it was a professor on this campus that is known for being absolutely brutal to you while presenting (my normal professor is easy to present in front of).
Latent: This was a short dream but I get stupid little dreams like this that revolve around presentations or an exam all the time. I just stress out about them a lot before and it causes me to dream about them.
I agree with your Latent content. I believe that we all have these dreams stressing over something like tests or speeches. I always do.
DeleteTitle: The Prom I Never Had
ReplyDeleteContent: This dream started out where I was back as a senior in high school. It was the time of prom, I was super excited to go. My friends and I were all prepared with our dresses and dates and the limo. We had planned a huge get together after at my beach house. It was going to be the best night ever. Then there was one dilemma, my friends came up to me and told me that it was going to be a prom with strobe lights. I was epileptic. I talked to the prom committee to try and change it but, they didn’t want to. It was already set with the people to set up the lights. I was devastated. I couldn’t go. I talked to the principal. I complained to my parents. It was awful. It came to be prom night and my friends were getting prepared while I was at home. I went to promenade to watch them with their dates and drive away in the limo. I was crying. I went back to my house and sulked for the rest of the night.
Interpretation: I think I had this dream because my friends and I were just talking about prom. Also I went back to my high school, and all the seniors were getting prepared for prom. I think I had this dream because the exact same thing happened to me. I couldn’t go to my prom because of the strobe lights. I talked to the teachers but nothing changed. I was annoyed. I think it was just a flashback of what happened even though my dream distorted it.
I agree with your interpertaion, that was something that you experienced and when talking about prom thats what you think about.

ReplyDeleteManifest: In my dream I was at my own house and it looked just like my own house, which is unusual for me because usually "my home" looks nothing like my actual home. I was laying on my living room couch, much like any normal day when I have actual time to relax. Then I just remember hearing this awful loud crash and my entire house was shaking. I looked out my window and say two of those gigantic elephant- like creatures from the "Lord of The Rings". There wasn't anyone with them or anything but they were knocking down trees as they were walking. They started throwing the tree trunks with their trunks at my house. One of the tree trunks broke through the wall of my house and I got scared and that woke me up.
Latent: I don't really see much hidden meaning here. But it's very strange because I haven't seen or had anyone mention that movie to me in a while. But I remember from another dream I had a few days before someone in my dream was talking about how those creatures from that book were coming to life. Then I see one of the elephant things in one of my dreams and it literally seemed like it was real life the dream was so accurate. It just seemed weird to me that the dreams seem to have connected somehow.
Title: I've been shot
ReplyDeleteManifest:I'm wandering around a house. I don't quite know where I am but I see old friends and exes wandering it too. My dad is near by. I start talking trying to catch up with everybody when all of the sudden it's like world war three breaks out. One of my exes has a gun. I don't know why, and I don't know where he got it from. I'm his target. He shoots towards me. He hits mostly my legs here and there. Skimming the sides. He gets my inner thigh pretty good. I look down and see how bruised it is and how much blood I have pouring down my pants. My dad comes and grabs me. He hides me in a room and stays lookout. I take one last look at my thigh and the rest of my wounds and wake up.
Latent: I'm not quite sure what the meaning is of this. Lately my legs have been super restless and maybe that's why my legs were mostly targeted. I think the part of everyone being from the past is because I am trying to make some re-connections with old friends but I'm worried about it backfiring. It could be warning me against the pain I used to have and how it could be reopened again.
I agree with you, I think that people from your past are showing up from in your dreams because you are trying to reconnect with old friends. Your mind must be thinking back to all of the old connections you once had and that is why there is your exes wandering around too. The ex shooting at you might show your fear that something might go wrong.

I hear a noise, I roll over and wake up to find that I missed my exam by two hours. I slept right through it, I feel very anxious and am not sure what to do. I get up and pace back and forth in my room. I hear the click of our door and turn around to see my roommate walk into the room she looks at me like I am crazy and ask why I am up. I think I had this dream because I am always nervous that technology is going to fail me and one day my alarm is not going to go off or that I won’t hear it and I won’t get up in time.
Title: The coyote
ReplyDeleteManifest: I am with all of my friends from home and we are outside enjoying the nice weather. It is starting to get dark out and all the sudden we hear something in the bushes rustling around about twenty feet from us, all the sudden it is dark and a coyote appears and starts running at us. We all run away screaming but one of my friends stays back to try and get her bag before she runs, we run into the parking lot where we have the car parked. My friend can’t get her car unlocked so we keep running and it’s still behind us. It is right behind the friend that went back for her stuff and I am feeling really scared. I think the coyote is going to get her, then all the sudden were back in the parking lot where the car is and the coyote isn’t chasing after us anymore, were all breathing heavy trying to catch our breath, and I wake up.
Latent: I think I had this dream because the nice weather is starting to come out, and the place that my friends and I hang out at, at home is at a gazebo kind of tucked away from the road. No one bothers us there, it is right by a river so we have seen some creatures there late at night, but they usually keep their distance. There has been a couple of times where a coyote walks right by us so maybe that is why the coyote is in the dream.
Did I just fly?
ReplyDeleteContent: I’m in my house walking around. I just keep walking from the front of the house to back of the house. As I walk outside the back door to the backyard I find myself looking at my house and just staring. Suddenly I am lifted off the ground like someone pushed me. Instead of falling I am floating in the neighbor yard. Then pushed back again to their neighbors yard. This goes on until I am high about the entire neighborhood and can see everyone’s houses. There are no sounds, no movement just time and space. I start to fall quickly and I wake up.
Interpretation: Yes, finally I had a flying dream! I’ve been waiting for this for years and now I can say that I’ve had one. I think the only reason why this dream happened is because I miss home and maybe feel so far away from it. Or because I was thinking about flying dreams the night before and it happened.
Title: sleepless night with a weird dream
ReplyDeleteDream: last night I couldn't fall asleep. I tryed and tried but couldn't. I haven't been like that in like a month. Yesterday I was thinking. Lot about a past situation. Really sucked and bothered me. But whenever I think of it, it consumes my day. And I think about it until I go to bed, then I can't haha. Well it's about a friend or aquatinttrance , I don't know what to call him. We used to be good friends . He likes to have what I have and if I have something that he doesn't he goes and gets it! That irritated me a little bit. Last night my dream was him and some girl I used to know well ,sitting in the back of a truck and driving along. And they were talking like they are together. But they aren't.
Interpretation : He always is with her while his girl is at school! I swear something is going on! I'm always thinking about this because it bothers me that he can do that and no one sees a problem. I think it's wrong but it none of me to say anything. He's quite the liar also so ...it's just messed up and that's why I had trouble sleeping cuz I m trying to see why, but I should be spending my time away from that haha I wouldn't do that and I can't see why someone would do that but nothing is a surprise today,...
Title: Boston
ReplyDeleteManifest: The dream was short and dark. I was with two people but even though I felt like they were right next to me I could only hear their voices. At the beginning we were laughing about the Miley Cyrus concert we had just seen. We were talking about her crying. We were walking the streets of Boston directly outside the garden when we all started to panic. It was pitch black and no one was around. It was weird the concert just got out but no traffic, not a car in sight. We were looking for our ride but we couldn't find a single person. There were voices coming out of even darker spots that were frightening us even more. When one voice started to get closer and closer, scaring us even more I woke up.
Latent: Last night I went to the Miley Cyrus concert in Boston and was responsible for both my sister and her friend. I hate walking around Boston in huge crowds, even more than I hate being responsible for other people's children! I think I had this dream out of fear that this could have happened to me. There was a second last night where I got confused as to where I was going. This tiny bit of anxiety was enough to make me dream that we got lost!
Title- Whos there?
ReplyDeleteManifest- I was alone in my house and i hear a noise that someone was trying to break in. I think to myself who could it be. I dont say anything but i listen at them talking and realize it is a couple that live down the street. I look out the window and I see them trying to pick the lock. the girl looks over torwards the window and tells the guy that they should try the window i move to theother side of the room and call 911. when they answer the girl on the other end says they will send someone. 15 minutes later theres still no officers at my house which is strange because i live five house down from the police station. I call them back and the same girl answers and i ask why she didnt send anyone. she told me to stop over reacting and not to call back. i then realize that she didnt work at the police station but is helping the couple. I hear a bang on the door and i wake up.
Latent- I think i had this dream because im going to be commuting to school next semester, and i havent been at my house for a long time. another reason i think i had this dream is because people did break into my house in the past. The ending of my dream when theres a bang on the door and i wake up, i astually heard a bang outside my room and it woke me up and my heart was beating fast.
Title - Noises
ReplyDeleteManifest : I was sitting out back with some friends around a fire. We were all hanging out having a good time talking about stories from our schools. While I was sitting at the fire it all felt to real. I could feel the heat lightly toasting my cheeks. The crackling and popping of the firewood sounded HD. I could hear birds soaring around making noises. I heard rustling in the trees and squirrels cracking nuts. It was as if suddenly the conversations diminished in the background and all I could hear was the nature around me. What really bugged me out is how to real it sounded, I didn't even feel like I was in a dream! This was the first time I ever heard sounds so vivid and real-like. This dream was odd and short but it was extremely fascinating to me. I love dreams that are very nature fulfilled.
Latent: Honestly having trouble as to the meaning or symbolism in this dream. Only thing that actually comes to mind is the sounds that wake me up. It is a jungle type noise - it is to wake me up peacefully.
Sounds like your alarm may have been going off while you were asleep, but it also sounds like it is a form of wish fulfillment in terms of hoping for the summer to come soon and being able to spend a night with friends around the fire.

ReplyDeleteContent: In this short dream I remember waking up as if it were real. It felt good because I did not have anything to do that day so I was able to spend it outside walking with my dog through our woods and the town I live in. I had no contact with anyone else, there were no problems, there was no work. I was able to just enjoy the day with my dog. It was sunny, and it felt warm but not to the point of oppressive. At the end of the dream I went to bed and then I woke up for real feeling fairly good.
Latent: This was a weird dream as it was the first one that I've remembered that wasn't a bad one. It was like a good day, which I haven't really had the time to have in a while. I could see this as being a form of wish fulfillment and definitely relating to the weather we have been having the last few days.
Title: Werewolf
ReplyDeleteDream: last night during my dream, I was in a bad situation, I was in city background in a back alley and I was being surrounded with my girlfriend, I don't have a girlfriend in real life so it was pretty strange. We were surrounded by ugly monster zombie like creatures, it was pretty scary, I got really angry and began growing long claws and teeth, and became very hairy. My girlfriend ran away and I killed the zombies. I remember waking up sweating and my Roomate told me I was mumbling something during my sleep.\
Interpretation: I believe I had this dream because yesterday I was extremely tired and cranky. The night before I only got 5 hours of sleep so I was in need of more sleep. I also played two games yesterday, and we lost the second game in a stupid way so I was even more angry.
Title: Talks Like Chicken
ReplyDeleteContent: In my dreams, I was walking around work and there were voices that kept insulting customers as they walked by and were talking with themselves. The kitchen personnel were looking for it, as well as myself. I found a bag of talking fried chicken at the of an aisle, and grabbed it to throw it out. The pieces of chicken jumped out of the bag in an attempt to save themselves, and promptly dies upon hitting the floor, so I threw them away.
Interpretation: I'm not entirely sure. Weird things happen at work all the time, but nothing this weird.
